New car rent business opens in Bolton

Westwood Motor Group has opened in Manchester Road, following an ‘organic growth’ from their popular Wigan location.

The service offers cars and vans for sale as well as for long and short-term hires.

A range of discounts, upgrades and flexible deals are to be offered to customers in the new Bolton location.

A spokesman for the company said: “We’ll be bringing our famous low prices, matchless friendly service and high spec’ vehicles to the good people of Bolton and beyond.

The “organic growth” from the firm’s original Wigan location comes after several years of increasing popularity.

This has allowed the business, they say, to supersede national and international car firms as the go-to place in the Wigan area.

Marketing manager Chris Ellison said: “We are the biggest company of our kind in Wigan. Even the national and international firms that are local are smaller than we are.

“We sponsor Wigan Athletic, rugby club Wigan Warriors and do a lot of charity work in the community too - which is something that I can see us doing in Bolton in the future.

“We have been wanting and meaning to expand for quite a while. Our store in Wigan is extensive but it is always filling up and this was a natural, organic growth.

“The opportunity came up for us to get a location in Bolton and we decided to go ahead with it.”

The new site has already opened up job vacancies, with the firm eager to hire for several roles.

Two jobs have already been created as a result of the site’s opening, although some workers go between the Bolton and Wigan stores.
