Man spends 3500 on burgers and champagne - before moaning about service charge

A banker who blew £3,500 on burgers and champagne for his pals has been hammered for grumbling online about the service charge on his eye-watering bill.

Flash Enrique Moris showed off his big spend on Twitter - but didn't get the reaction he clearly wanted.

The trader hinted he wanted to start a fight deliberately as he was ruthlessly mocked for complaining about the standard 10 per cent charge.

He ran up the incredible total in Spain’s Costa Del Sol and was more than satisfied with the price and the food.

But he was livid about being asked for £317 for a tip for restaurant staff, who attended to the group during their boozy stay.

On top of the meals, he splashed out £850 on a bottle of Dom Perignon champagne, 13 pints of beers as well as tequila shots for his pals.

“Marbella, the new Ibiza, fraudsters everywhere,” he tweeted, with a photo of his receipt.

Then, he uploaded a snap of a book extract which included the advice 'say something to start a fight'.

"This page is of a book that has been around for 10 days, and now we have a twitter in the middle of a conversation about a restaurant where we can do it and we know the price that we pay, we have to spend even more time in the forms of pedirla," he wrote.

He even said he was preparing to leave when a waiter ran over to ask if the party was going to leave the gratuity.

His followers weren't impressed and told him straight.

One Twitter user told him: “It is clear that having money is not synonymous with having class.”

Another said: “The waiter is not your slave, you have to leave a tip not for doing more but for good service and food. Get out of Spain.”

A third wrote: “What do you want? Solidarity? The nouveau riche is always more stupid than people who’ve always been rich.”
