All WA healthcare workers to be jabbed by January as state mandates vaccines
Western Australia will mandate COVID vaccinations for all healthcare staff.
Health Minister Roger Cook said by the end of the year 100 per cent of healthcare workers would be fully vaccinated.

âThere is the very real possibility that a worker at a healthcare facility will come in contact with someone who has COVID-19, that is why it is vital that we ensure our entire healthcare workforce is vaccinated,â he said.
âThis benefits workers and the broader community, we want to keep our healthcare workers safe, and we want to keep the people they care for safe as well.â
Mr Cook revealed just 68 per cent of WAâs healthcare workforce has had their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine through state-run vaccination clinics.
He said that figure would be slightly higher when taking into account doses administered through GPs, but conceded it was still too low.
More to come.
