Boy 16 killed in street stabbing at Lake Macquarie
A 16-year-old boy is dead, a second in hospital and a third is under arrest after a fatal stabbing at Lake Macquarie overnight.
Emergency services were called to a home on Parbury Road, Swansea, at about 8.20pm last night, where they found two teenage boys with stab wounds to their chests.

NSW Police say witnesses tried to help the fatally wounded boy before paramedics took over, but he died at the scene. The second stabbing victim was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition to undergo surgery.
Investigators have been told the two victims were walking down the road with a third boy and encountered another group of teens before a fight broke out, leading to the stabbings. The third boy was uninjured.
Police searched the area and found a boy in the backyard of a home on the same road at 9.20pm, arrested him and took him to Belmont police station, where police say he is assisting them.
A crime scene was set up and an investigation into the circumstances is continuing. Police are urging anyone with information about the incident, or dashcam or CCTV from the area to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
