Police said Robati was a passenger in a Ford Focus travelling along St Pauls Terrace about 9.20pm on Sunday, September 5. The driver was a 19-year-old woman.
Robati âpulled the steering wheel, causing the vehicle to swerve across two lanesâ near the intersection with Amelia Street.
The driver regained control of the car and avoided any collision, according to police.
The Ford Focus continued down St Pauls Terrace before stopping suddenly. Police officers intercepted the car a short time later between King Street and Alexandria Street.
The female driver has not been charged.
Robati was fined $1000.
