A superb article about Arthur Boydâs magnificent legacy and the new building, which will make the art and property accessible to so many more Australians [August 28]. I am indeed looking forward to visiting this space when we are able to emerge from our own little spaces.

This was a story of inspiration, from Boydâs huge-hearted intention to architect Kirsten Thompsonâs mind-blowing interpretation and the team it took to make it happen.

Two of Us
Thank you, Mark Robinson, for the valuable and vulnerable insight into your youth spent in homeless shelters [August 28]. As a team member of such a shelter, we work hard to support the children of homeless women, who are often escaping domestic and family violence. Thank you for shining light on the lifelong impact on children who experience these issues.

I just have to respond to this most brutally honest love story between David Flack and Mark Robinson. Two initially unlikely people unite and, in a short time, come together to share a personal and professional life, supporting, believing in â" and giving to â" each other. A true love partnership.

Spotlight
Toyotaâs reimagining of urban space such as Woven City will not apply to Sydneyâs CBD [August 28]. That will become an historic relic, much like many Japanese villages. The technological applications are about new cities likely to be built during the 21st century. These will be not only technologically advanced but also environmentally and resource-use-conscious developments. It would be much cheaper than trying to retrofit existing CBDs. Australia will decentralise as new industries are created across the country. What this vision tells you is that the next 75 years will be about higher education and training throughout life for the whole populace, as manual and city driving jobs disappear.

Oh dear, Danny Katz, you diss Campbellâs cream of mushroom soup [August 28]? Next thing youâll be dissing Campbellâs cream of celery. Never were there two more worthy recipe bases. Try making a chicken lasagne without one of those, I dare you!

Good Food
Helen Gohâs blood orange portokalopita [August 21] made for a sensational birthday cake, which only my husband and I could enjoy in lockdown. Will try to save some for the kids!

Stand by me
I am utterly outraged at the protracted misery that the Murugappan family has been subjected to [August 21]. We all understand that we canât help everyone, but this is a family who started off as two separate individuals fleeing circumstances beyond our experience who met, married, and had two children born in Australia. They found their way to Biloela and the Queensland town welcomed them and didnât want them to leave. Iâd very much like to see religious leaders fashion their sermons around this idea of compassion â" and then maybe our parliamentary leaders will learn how to apply it to their decision-making when it fits the circumstances.
