Soccer prodigy Danny Hodgson makes small movements in Perth hospital
Nicola and Peter Hodgson say they can feel the love and affection of the West Australian community as their son is in a critical but stable condition in hospital after he was allegedly coward-punched.
WA Police allege Danny Hodgson was hit by a 15-year-old while he was walking near the Perth Train Station.

His parents remain in hotel quarantine at the Pan Pacific, after flying in from the UK on Friday and being allowed a short visit with their son while dressed in full personal protective equipment.
âWe get regular updates from the team at Royal Perth and are so very grateful for the level of care being provided to our son at this time,â Mr Hodgson said.
âDanny has made some small movements, but his condition remains much the same, and we just have to give him time as he moves through this challenging journey.â
Though being required to remain in hotel quarantine in order to protect the community from possible COVID-19 transmission, Dannyâs parents were comforted by the knowledge his girlfriend and other family members remained by his side.

âDespite the fact that we are in quarantine, we know our family members and Jess are keeping Danny comforted during this time,â Mrs Hodgson said.
Danny had emergency surgery for bleeding on the brain and a skull fracture after the incident in the early hours of Sunday, September 5.
His mother said he took a turn for the worse the following day due to more severe brain hemorrhaging and was rushed to theatre for more surgery that lasted four hours.
Now he remains in an induced coma she said could last for weeks or even months.
Danny received roaring support from almost 80,000 fans watching Manchester United play when stadium announcer Alan Keegan called on the capacity crowd during a break in play to cheer for the 25-year-old.
WA Police have charged a 15-year-old boy over the attack, alleging the boy punched Danny, causing him to fall backwards and unconscious.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with grievous bodily harm.
The family has raised more than $120,000 to help with the long rehabilitation Danny is facing.
