Teenager dies after stabbing brawl in Sydneys west

An 18-year-old man has died after being stabbed during a brawl in Sydney’s west.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Suffolk and William streets, Blacktown, about 10pm on Wednesday following reports of a brawl.

Local police arrived to find four people with stab wounds.

An 18-year-old man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died at the scene.

Three other males were treated for their injuries.

NSW Police on Thursday morning said two 15-year-old boys had been taken to Westmead hospital and were in a critical and serious condition respectively.

“A number of people are assisting police with their inquiries, which are continuing,” police said.

Blacktown is one of Sydney’s 12 local government areas of concern for COVID-19 cases. A curfew is in place from 9pm to 5am, except for those with a specific reasonable excuse to leave home.
